NOTE: I decided not to separate the legends in lines by using / otherwise it will look like a mess. Also I left the ᴢ retrograde as ᴢ as I couldn’t find the correct character and it happens too often to write “z retrograde”. Also also, Komeno dynasty legends (according to Sear anyway) seem to have a lot of “macrons” and “ties”, again, I have no easy way of typing them that way, I feel like it’s not that important, and people do have eyes.

Rev: Alexius standing facing (head large), wearing crown and loros, and holding labarum (large, usually ornamented with cross) and globus cruciger; to left, Δєcⲡᴏᴛʜ; to right, ᴛω ᴋᴏᴍɴʜɴ (or similar).


UNCERTAIN MINT

Alexius I (1081-1118). AV Hyperpyron. Uncertain mint. Sear 1937.

Obv: + ᴋє ʀᴏʜⲑєı. Christ enthroned facing, wearing nimbus cruciger, pallium and colobium, and raising right hand in benediction; in left, holding book of Gospels; on either side of nimbus ıc—xc.
